A little about me

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a filmmaker, photographer, and editor based in the Los Angeles and Orange County area, currently being a senior at the Orange County School of the Arts. I’ve been working on professional and student film sets since I was 13, and I’m always looking for new ways to tell stories and see the world a little differently.

Growing up in a Korean-American household surrounded by music, I’ve learned to find inspiration in the everyday. I’m drawn to the little things and have always been a story teller. Whether I’m directing, shooting, or editing, I love experimenting with visual storytelling, finding meaning in the ordinary, and creating work that makes people feel something.

For me, filmmaking is as much about the people behind the camera as it is about the stories on screen. I love learning from others, bringing different perspectives together, and seeing an idea evolve through collaboration. I’m always excited to meet fellow creatives and take on new projects, so please reach out if you’d like to work together!

 This was an incredible opportunity, and it was so refreshing to spend an entire month surrounded by people who care about their passions as much as I care about mine. I left CSSSA with a new spark of inspiration and an entirely new perspective on film, and I’m so grateful for every part of this experience. Thank you to @mr_pidro for working so hard to give us incredible masterclasses, field trips, film screenings, and the opportunity to experience a real film set. Thank you to all of the amazing faculty for giving me new perspectives of thinking about and approaching film. And, of course, thank you to all of my peers for supporting me, inspiring me, and making this month so unforgettable. This is an experience that will stay with in my heart for the rest of my life ❤️
